The Challenger 300 business jet developed by Bombardier Aerospace. It was announced in 1999, and its maiden flight took place on August 14, 2001. It received Canadian type approval on May 31, 2003. Flexjet introduced the Challenger 300 to commercial flight service in 2004.
The Challenger 300 is designed with supercritical wings with a fixed leading-edge and 27% sweep angle. The cabin is claimed to be 39% larger than competing mid-size business jets, including the Falcon 50 and Citation X. It is powered by two Honeywell HTF 7000 engines with 6,826 pounds of thrust, which allows for an extended range of 3065 nm.
