The Learjet 45 is a medium sized business jet aircraft produced by Bombardier Learjet in 1998. The Learjet 45XR is an upgraded version of the Learjet 45 and was introduced in June, 2004.

This jet is powered by two Honeywell TFE731-20BR engines with 3,500 pounds of thrust. These engines allow the Learjet 45XR to have higher takeoff weights, faster cruise speeds, and faster time-to-climb rates than the Learjet 45. The cabin has a volume of 410 cubic feet, seating up to nine passengers.

Production of the Learjet 45XR ended in 2012, with a total of 208 jets being built. As of 2014, 41% of the fleet is pre-owned, with 8% for sale on the market. An additional 88% of the aircraft are under an exclusive broker agreement. This jet will spend an average of 260 days on the market. North America has the largest percentage of Learjet 45XR aircraft, with 71%. South America holds 10%, and 30% are in fleet ownership.
